Artist: Amy Duran
Exhibition: Forever by Your Side
Gallery: Marilyn Werby Gallery
The exhibition was filled with ceramics that were put together to tell a story.
The story being told is based on the personal struggles of the artist. The exhibition was a reminder to herself that it is okay to feel afraid as an adult.
I personally loved this exhibition. The pieces were so well done. I loved the detail each character had. It was also cool that the exhibition was interactive in which we had to pull a lever to see changes within the scene. I could see the story turned into like a claymation movie haha I would watch it!
Amy Duran is currently in her senior year at CSULB. She is in the Ceramics program and is working towards her BFA in Ceramics. She says she has always been interested in art. In the future she would like to work in the entertainment business, working with props and such for movies and other media.
